Literary Translation

I've always been fascinated by language, probably due to being an avid reader from a very early age. I've always loved changing my spots by learning a new language, visiting a new country, trying to blend in.
I started teaching myself Greek while still in my teens, when I met my future partner in London, and had plenty of opportunities to practise when in Greece and Cyprus for film-making. Later I enrolled at the City Literary Institute in London for advanced Greek lessons with an inspirational teacher from Greece, Joanna Peachell.
For the last dozen years or more I've been translating Greek literature into English: novels, short stories, poetry and essays, working closely with authors and organisations such as the EU and PEN Cyprus.
